Quite a group of Nissan trucks turned out to participate in the annual GLX Spring-fling event held at the Badlands. With blue skies above and lack of rain the previous week, the trails were the right amount of mud. We split into two teams to get the most out of the day on Saturday. One group tackling the more challenging obstacles, while the other got just a taste of what the badlands had to offer. In addition to off-roading, some of the kids participated in the Easter Egg hunt held by Badlands. Yes, the creepy bunny suits were in full-force.
We ended up with a little more carnage than usual but were able to get everyone safely off the trails. With the sun setting, we retreated to the camp site 20 miles down the road and enjoyed a fried chicken skirt dinner, cooked by Brian Turnquist. And after, raffled off some awesome gear, generously provided by our sponsors. The rest of the night was spent fixing the days carnage and telling tails of the day's adventure around a warm campfire. While there was plenty of carnage and mud thrown around, everyone was able to make it home safely on Sunday.
We hope to be back in the Fall for our Xtoberfest. A huge thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated with us!
